Rajeen McAllister Counselling

A safe place to talk, reflect, and find clarity

I’m Rajeen, a counsellor offering short- and long-term therapy for adults in Reading and online.

Hi, I'm Rajeen and I'm glad you're here!

I’m a French-born counsellor based in Reading, U.K., offering sessions in both French and English. I offer a gentle, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel heard. I welcome people from all backgrounds and would be glad to support you in whatever way feels right for you.

With over a decade of experience teaching in secondary schools and now working as a counsellor, I have developed a passion for growth, healing, and personal development. Having personally experienced the benefits of counselling over several years, I understand what it’s like to be in the client’s shoes and how powerful that space can be.

Every counsellor brings their own perspective to the work. For me, counselling is about walking alongside you on your journey of self-discovery. We will move at your pace, exploring your thoughts and feelings, recognising patterns, and making meaningful connections with your past experiences.

To me, counselling is like working together on a jigsaw puzzle — one made up of your life experiences, emotions, thoughts, and struggles. Sometimes, it might feel like the pieces are scattered, missing, or just don’t quite fit. That’s where our work begins.

Together, we’ll take a look at your unique puzzle with compassion. We might search for missing pieces, explore where they belong, and begin to notice the patterns and connections that make up your story. In our sessions, every piece is welcome — even the ones that feel too messy, confusing, or painful.

I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to be your authentic self. I work in a relational way, which means I believe that the relationship between the counsellor and the client itself can be a powerful part of healing. You don’t have to figure it all out alone — we’ll piece things together, one step at a time.

What counselling is

Counselling offers a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly with a trained professional.

You’re welcome to bring anything that’s on your mind to the sessions, and we’ll focus on the areas that matter most to you.

My role is to support you by helping you feel seen, heard, valued, and understood.

How it works

First, I offer an initial free, no-obligation phone consultation. This gives you a chance to talk about what you’re hoping to get from therapy, ask any questions, and see how it feels to speak to me.

If you feel I’m the right fit for you, you’re welcome to book an appointment in your own time to meet me for an online session over Zoom.

Qualifications

Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Counselling Skills (2023)

Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (2025)

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and have experience supporting both adults and young adults.

Training

My training in Therapeutic Counselling allows me to blend person-centred and psychodynamic approaches within a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship.

In practice, person-centred therapy focuses on the ‘here and now,’ helping you feel empowered to reach your potential, while psychodynamic therapy explores how past experiences may be affecting your present.

By combining these approaches, I can adapt our work to meet your unique needs, progressing at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Online sessions are available via Zoom, making it easy for clients from any location to access support.
